After a week off the Narrabri Touch Inc’s men’s and ladies’ summer touch football competitions started back up on Monday.

The week off, due to concerns over heat and air quality, allowed teams to rest and recover which worked wonders for the multiple sides.

The ladies’ competition saw two high scoring games played out.

The first of which was won by the Agies Ladies which opened the night by ploughing through Blue Birds 17-2 in the Ladies’ summer competition.

All nine players from the Agies Ladies scored at least one try on the night.

Alisha Conomos and Bella Cruickshank were the best of the Agies Ladies as they scored four tries each.

Martha Harvey (2), Krista Zarka (2), Tashanny Clark (1), Cathy Conomos (1), Jamilah Kidd (1), Dianne Roberts (1) and Eileen Roberts (1) all chipped in for the massive win.

Toni Gale and Anni Wenner were Blue Birds’ two try-scorers.

The final match of the Ladies’ comp was battled out between Redbacks and RSL Roulettes.

Hat-tricks from Redbacks’ Emma John and April Smith highlighted the match as their side ran away with a 13-nil victory.

Hayley Lang, Georgie Hancock and Shaine Baker added two tries each and Tori Allison scored the final try for the Redbacks.

The third match in the ladies’ competition saw Phoenix Two390 take down Hounddogs 2-1 in an incredibly tight match.

Tries to Elsie and Holly Ford won the match for Phoenix Two390.

Lauren Brown was Hounddogs’ solo try-scorer.

The final match saw Specialised Civil picked up an 8-2 win over Xtra.

Specialised Civil’s Jessie Schwager, Angela Knox and Laura Baguley all picked up a double on the night.

Teammates Sophie McFarland and Rebecca Armstrong chipped in with a try each.

Xtra’s two tries were split between Ellen John and Jessica Scott.

In the opening men’s Pool A match DTA Lumberjacks picked up a 4-3 win over the Gee Bangers.

Matt McDonnell scored a double with teammates Scott Purcell and Clayton Pursche adding a try each for the DTA Lumberjacks.

Gee Bangers’ three tries were scored by Michael Cain (2) and Peter Quirk (1).

The second match in Pool A saw Grumley Builders defeat ODAPS 8-3.

Hayden Grumley was the top-scorer in that match with a hat-trick on the night.

Teammates Connor Duncan, Jack Maunder, Hamish Duncan, Thomas Nolan and Jydon Hill scored a try each.

Jonty Fowler, Jaylan Sharpley and Ashton Smith scored ODAPS’ three tries.

The final Pool A contest saw Ballbusters defeat Mowley’s Maniacs 6-nil.

Ian Gourley scored two tries with teammates Campbell Hancock, Adam Hatton, Dean Hancock and Connor Parkes chipping in with a try each.

Damien Chiplin Plumbing also picked up a win as the team took down One23 Cafe 5-2 in Pool B of the men’s summer competition.

Travis Small scored a hat-trick for the winning side with teammates Jay Hall and Jayden Hayne adding a try each.

In the second Pool B match Hidden Talent scored a huge victory over Stylies.

Hidden Talent won 11-2 thanks to hat-tricks by Curtis and Michael Orcher.

Christopher Clark, Jordan Harvey, Rodney Lamb, Bailey Toomey and Lachlan Trindall all contributed with a try each.

Stylies’ two tries were split between Jeremy Saunders and Wade Taylor.

The last Pool B match was fought out between Win or Booze and Cougars.

Win or Booze won convincingly, scoring an 8-4 victory thanks to seven individual try scorers.

Samuel Cain was the only Win or Booze player to score a double as teammates Daniel Cooper, Connor Hill, Caleb McDonald, Kalab McMillan, Jess O’Neil and Brock Schwager added the other six tries.

Cougars’ tries were shared between Michael Knox (2), Justin Knight (1) and Kurt Wallace (1).
