Narrabri Golfie has undertaken a major upgrade of its clubhouse, opening up spacious new outdoor areas and a special play zone for children in the biggest changes to the clubhouse since it was built.

The major project further develops the ‘country club’ atmosphere and underlines the confidence of Club Narrabri in the future of the district.

This is a big investment in providing facilities which will be attractive to locals and visitors, a social venue set amid an 18 hole irrigated course.

The major elements of the upgrade are a long and wide new verandah and children’s play space.

The club management has created a spacious area which will be the venue for relaxing afternoons with views across the fairways from the new verandah, for outdoor functions and for private parties and entertainment.

The children’s play area will be ‘pool fenced’ and all covered under huge shade sails.

On Saturday night the new venue will greet guests at ‘Christmas on the Fairway’, a big family festive event which will be held on the lawns in front of the clubhouse.

“Christmas on the Fairway begins at 6pm,” said Club Narrabri chief executive Paul Gordon.

“It will be a fantastic night under the stars with music from three bands, Golfies hospitality with great food and drinks -and Santa Claus will probably be making an appearance.
