“We must have been tougher years ago,” a reader tells Topical. “When we were growing up we had no air conditioning at home, none in the car and none in the classrooms. So a rise of one degree in temperature in the next 50 years doesn’t worry me – we have already lived for decades with being 10 degrees warmer than the coastal people.”
