Earlier this morning the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to an accident near Wee Waa.
The aircraft was diverted to the Narrabri Hospital where a 71 year old male was taken from the scene near Wee Waa by road ambulance.
The man sustained chest injuries from a fall from machinery.
The male was treated at the hospital by the aircraft Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic for transport to the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
The man is believed to be in a serious condition.
