The police officer in charge of Narrabri Shire Inspector Robert Dunn said crime scene officers have been investigating the alleged theft of cash and alcohol from a sports club in Wee Waa today.
“Officers have taken samples that will hopefully assist in identifying the offenders,” said Insp. Dunn.
“Between 6am and 6:15am today, unknown persons gained entry to a premises at Wee Waa by forcing the front door.
“Police were notified and on scene very soon after.”
Inspector Dunn said it was discovered entry had been gained and that an amount of cash and alcohol had allegedly been stolen from the premises.
Police have obtained CCTV footage and witnesses have given statements.
