The Narrabri Shire Sports Awards event for 2019 will be held in conjunction with the Narrabri Shire Australia Day Awards on Sunday, January 26, at the Narrabri Golf Club with all the eight award categories and the Narrabri Shire Sportsperson of the Year up for grabs.
Organisers of the event, the Lords Taverners Narrabri, provided The Courier with a list of award nominees yesterday.
The nominees are as follows:
Contribution to sport – Kerry Crutcher, Matilda Curry, Trish Lawty, Graeme Sunderland.
Senior male – Jason Anderson, Shannan Davey.
Senior female – Trish Lawty.
Junior male – Harrison Bennett, Joey Fowler, Blake Ryan, Dylan Smith, Don Watkins.
Junior female – no nominees.
Sub-junior male – Nate Browning, Jonty Fowler, Clay Hoffman.
Sub-junior female – Matilda Curry, Rya Knox.
Team of the year – Narrabri FC, Narrabri Junior Rugby under-14s, Narrabri District Cricket Association Pink Slugs, Wee Waa Public School – boys’ softball team, Wee Waa Public School – mixed netball team.
