Georgie Haire to compete for NSW Showgirl title

Wee Waa Showgirl Georgie Haire will compete for the NSW Showgirl title at Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.

“I am honoured to be representing Zone 4 alongside Moree’s Bronte Marshall at the Sydney Royal Easter Show,” said Georgie.

Georgie and Bronte were selected from a talented group of young women who competed at the Dorrigo zone final, on the weekend.

“Thank you to the Dorrigo Show Society for hosting the Zone 4 Showgirl Final,” said Georgie.

“I would like to congratulate all of the ladies who attended the zone final – it was lovely to get to know you all and you are such fantastic ambassadors for your communities.”

Georgie also thanked the Wee Waa Show Society in particular president Brett Dickinson, Leah Baguley and Sue Smith who kindly supported her in Dorrigo as well as Anna Madden who has been an amazing mentor to Georgie.

Georgie said that she’d never been to the Royal Easter Show before and was very excited about the opportunity to represent her community.

The Wee Waa Show Society is also looking for expressions of interest for running the morning tea for judges on Friday May 15, morning tea/luncheon for judges and public on Saturday May 16 and a barbecue breakfast canteen for the District Horse Day on Sunday May 17.
