The 2020 pennant season is right around the corner for the ladies of the Narrabri Sporties and the Wee Waa Bowling Club who will play against one another in just 20 days.
Narrabri will compete in Grade Three in 2020 but there are no other Grade Three teams in the Namoi District.
However, rather than gaining automatic qualification to regional level, the Narrabri team will need to finish on top of a three-team pool which includes Grade Four teams Wee Waa and Lightning Ridge.
Narrabri’s ladies’ pennant squad includes Marie Redman, Lyn Wedesweiler, Mary Wheeler, Eva Sadler, Helen Woodward, Val Falkiner, Cindy Neil and Rhonda Welchman.
Reserves are Debbie Gleeson and Kay Carolan and manager is Dawn Armstrong.
The Namoi District pennant dates are as follows:
Saturday, March 7 – Wee Waa v Lightning Ridge at Wee Waa; Sunday, March 8 – Wee Waa v Narrabri at Wee Waa; Saturday, March 14 – Narrabri v Lightning Ridge at Narrabri; Sunday, March 15 – Narrabri v Wee Waa at Narrabri; Saturday, March 21 – Lightning Ridge v Narrabri at Lightning Ridge; Sunday, March 22 – Lightning Ridge v Wee Waa at Lightning Ridge.
