Former Boggabri greyhound trainer Andrew Bell is enjoying a successful start to the 2020 greyhound racing season.

In the first two months of the year Bell has overseen 20 winners, 24 second-placed finishes and 26 third-placed finishes.

He and the Cedar Lodge Kennels team have achieved that in just 175 starts.

Bell’s current win rate for 2020 is 11.4 per cent, higher than his career average of 10.3 per cent.

Similarly his place rate of 40 per cent for 2020 has exceeded his career place rate of 36.6 per cent.

One of Bell’s best dogs this season has been Barcia’s Wish.

The almost-two-year-old has raced 10 times in 2020 for an incredible six wins, which were all earned consecutively, and a third.

He also had a night to remember at Dapto last Thursday where he had three winners and two quinellas on the night.
