When I look at the rail map, I wonder why I have to go all the way back to Sydney if I want to take a train from Tamworth to Dubbo, and vice-versa for my aunt who is out at Trangie.
I’ve never been to Dubbo, I would like to check out the zoo there one day, and I would go if I could take a train.
I don’t want to take a bus.
A new rail line could split off from Gunnedah, Boggabri, Narrabri and head west to Dubbo, or alternatively split off from Werris Creek or Quirindi.
There are a lot of options.
Tamworth to Dubbo isn’t that far, so I don’t see why it should be so difficult to build a new train line.
