The Narrabri Shire Council released the below statement this afternoon –

Council service provisions as at Monday, March 23, 2020:

In accordance with the announcement made by Prime Minister, Scott Morrison on Sunday, March 22, 2020, regarding the combat of COVID-19, the following Council services will be affected:

Narrabri Aquatic Centre – CLOSED from March 24, 2020 until further notice.

Boggabri Pool – CLOSED from March 24, 2020 until further notice.

Wee Waa Pool – CLOSED from March 24, 2020 until further notice.

The Crossing Theatre – OPEN with the following restrictions:
• The Crossing Theatre Café: serving takeaway coffee and meals only
• The Crossing Theatre Cinemas: CLOSED as of Monday, March 23, until further notice.

Narrabri Shire Council Administration Building – OPEN however, non-essential visits are discouraged. Please call 02 6799 6866 or email [email protected]

Narrabri Shire Libraries – CLOSED from March 24, 2020 until further notice.

Waste facilities/transfer stations – OPEN

Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre – OPEN

Pilliga Bore Baths – CLOSED until further notice

Waste Collection Services – waste collections to remain as per normal.

Council is committed to ensuring community service provisions are maintained during this time specifically, water, waste, roads and customer service functions.
We are closely monitoring the ever-changing developments surrounding COVID-19 and we kindly ask the following:

• Please only attend our customer service facing facilities in person if it is absolutely essential.
• If you are experiencing any flu like symptoms, please do not attend our facilities. Please contact us by phone or by email.
• If you do attend our facilities please keep a reasonable distance between yourself, our staff and anyone you come in contact according to social distancing requirements.

Council will endeavour to provide the community with up to date information as it becomes available.
