The Board of Narrabri Sporties has taken the decision to enter voluntary administration.

Most people would be aware of the pressures facing the hotel and club industry.

These pressures have included the long drought, bushfires, downturn in trade and then the COVID-19 pandemic.

Considering these factors which have put the club into a position, we had to seek advice and the advice was to enter voluntary administration.

This means that the administrator we have appointed will examine all options with a view to re-opening the club.

The Club Motor Inn continues to trade, Narrabri Sporties had ceased trading earlier due to the pandemic and now is under the control of the administrator, Hayes Advisory.

Hayes Advisory is in charge of all activities until they come back to the board with their findings.

They will hand back control to the board on re-opening.

The board remains confident that we will ultimately reach a satisfactory outcome for the club and the community.

However, times have changed. We need to be looking forward to a business model for the club in keeping with current and future trends.

President, Archie Sheppard, on behalf of the Board
