Welcome donations to Meals on Wheels

Narrabri Meals on Wheels co-ordinator Donna MacMillan always has her hands full with her busy job.

Her hands are fuller than usual at the moment – she is taking delivery of large donations from Santos.

“Santos has donated many cartons of toilet paper and also hand sanitiser,” said Mrs MacMillan. “And an iPad.

“This is great support which we really appreciate.”

Mrs MacMillan and her team of volunteer helpers make daily rounds of Narrabri delivering hot meals and other needed items to their elderly or housebound clientele.

Santos principal landholder relations advisor Mark Rodgers helped load the Meals on Wheels vehicle on Friday. He explained that Santos made these and other donations under the Santos Community program.

“The Santos program supports community groups where we can,” he said.

Meanwhile, there is more to come.

Santos has pallet loads coming in for Meals on Wheels and others.
