The Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to a serious single vehicle accident on the Kamilaroi Highway 4km south of Boggabri at 1pm today.

“With initial reports that the occupant has suffered serious injuries and is trapped in the vehicle,” read a media statement from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

“The accident has triggered a multi agency response of ASNSW Paramedics NSW Police and multiple Rescue agencies.

“The 37-year-old female patient has been released from the wreckage and stabilised by ASNSW Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team before being airlifted to TBH (Tamworth Base Hospital) in a stable condition with multiple lower limb injuries.”
