A reader comments on the ‘panther crossing’ signs in Florida in Tuesday’s Courier: “This reminds me of the ‘koala crossing’ signs around Gunnedah, the ‘koala capital,’” he said. “I have yet to see a koala cross, but it’s a great promotional idea. It’s not unlike the ‘Yowie crossing’ signs, which one day will be erected through Pilliga to lay claim to Pilliga as the ‘yowie capital” he suggests.
