Narrabri community radio station 2Max FM will soon be broadcasting from a second, state of the art studio.

2MAX FM has won grant funding of $11,000 to develop the new studio.

The grant is one of seven, totalling $1.5 million, to fund community projects across Parkes electorate under the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s

Tackling Tough Times Together program.

And 2MAX FM has also received a grant of $3,600 under a new round of the Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants program.

The grants have been announced by Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton.

“The Tackling Tough Times Together program has a range of benefits, including keeping money flowing through our shops and suppliers, and creating jobs for communities which have been impacted by drought,” Mr Coulton said.

Boggabri and District Historical Society received a grant of $35,120 for the installation of vinyl cladding of Boggabri Men’s Shed and Museum buildings under the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s Tackling Tough Times Together program.
