Wee Waa Bowling Club hosted A-grade Singles and Pairs matches at the weekend as bowlers eagerly returned to competition play for the first time since March after the COVID-19 pandemic halted play for more than three months.

Two Singles games were played on Saturday which saw Clancy Hamilton beat Wayne Booby 31-14, and Brett Pillar defeat Chris Crutcher 31-19.

On Sunday a Singles game was played between Dustyn Allen and Dave Hogan. Allen won 31-17.

There were also two Pairs games played on Sunday.

In those matches Phil Lawford and Ray Dixon beat Jay Hall and Bruce Cowan 26-12, and Todd Cowan and Justin Knight downed Peter Doring and Steve Berger 21-15.

This weekend there will be more matches played at the club.

On Saturday there will be five Singles matches played from 10am.

In A-grade Clancy Hamilton will challenge Brett Pillar (marker – Chris Crutcher), Todd Cowan will take on Peter Doring (marker – Cody Booby) and Steve Berger will verse Trevor Keys (marker – Kerry Sadler).

In B-grade Singles Kyne Allen willl take on Toby Reynolds (marker – Ross Smith) and Hunter Doring will meet Gary Nolan (marker – Dave Hogan).

Three more games will be played on Sunday, all of which will be Pairs games from 10am.

In A-grade Pairs Brett Pillar and Chris Crutcher will play Ben Russell and Ty Baker, while Peter and Dustyn Allen take on Dave Hogan and Wayne Booby.

In B-grade Pairs Jay Hall and Zack Doring will challenge Toby Reynolds and Cody Booby.
