The perennial topic of the correct name for the body of water flowing through Narrabri has arisen again. “The Namoi River hasn’t flowed for years – it should be renamed the Creek and the Creek should logically be renamed the Namoi River,” a Topical correspondent writes. “I wonder what travellers think when they pass over the famous Namoi River and see a dry, overgrown gully.”
