The Local Government Authorities Arts and Cultural Program will provide more than $6.6 million to councils across NSW over the next three years. The list of recipients, including Lake Macquarie cultural festival ($150,000 per year for three years) Campbelltown Arts Centre ($450,000 per year for three years) Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, $250,000, etc., suggests that the time might be right for Narrabri to push for funding for an art gallery, something that has long been mooted as a home for our Civic Art Collection.
