Get the umbrellas out. The Bureau of Meteorology continues to report that its outlook for the future includes a ‘La Nina’, with climate modelling indicating this one will persist until at least January 2021. Half the BOM modelling predicts a strong event while three of eight models suggest a moderate event. None predict it will be as strong as the La Nina of 2010-12, one of the four strongest on record.
