One of Australia’s folklore milestones has recently been passed, on November 11, a reader advises Topical. “Bushranger Ned Kelly was the first person born in Victoria to be hanged. Convicted at Melbourne on October 29, 1880 for murder, Kelly was executed at the Old Melbourne Gaol on November 11, 1880.”
