The four undefeated Narrabri Touch Inc teams extended their 2020-21 summer season winning streaks to six games on Monday night in the sixth round of the season.

Men’s team Grumley Builders defeated Mowley’s Maniacs 8-2 to remain the only unbeaten team in that competition. The Grumley Builders have won all six of their matches so far this season a combined 45-14.

The three undefeated ladies’ sides, Agies Ladies, Specialised Civil and Xtra, also won on Monday night.

Agies Ladies downed BPR-Tourist 15-2, and Specialised Civil and Xtra both scored 11-0 wins against The Rippers and The Emasculators respectively.

Agies Ladies finished the round as the best attacking side, having scored 83 tries while conceding just six.

Specialised Civil finished the round as the best defensive side, having conceded just four tries in six matches while scoring 60.

Third-placed Xtra has a 37-5 for and against record across six games.

In the other round six men’s matches, Platform X Studio defeated Damien Chiplin Plumbing 6-4, Gee Bangers beat Cougars 6-3, Win Or Booze downed Ballbusters 8-5, and DTA Lumberjacks outscored Stylies 7-4.

In the other ladies’ games, Redbacks beat Hounddogs 8-2, RSL Roulettes downed OneDay Gals 4-2, and Phoenix Two390 edged out Blue Birds 3-1.

In the Grumley Builders’ 8-2 win against Mowley’s Maniacs, five of its players crossed for tries. Jacob Booby scored a hat-trick, Luke Tuckey and Ethan Brown bagged doubles, and Jydon Hill and Jordyn Mowle scored a try each. Mowley’s Maniacs’ tries were scored by Lane Rees and Clifford Toomey Junior.

Second-placed Gee Bangers won its third consecutive match and its fifth of the season to stay hot on the heels of top-ranked Grumley Builders. In Gee Bangers’ 6-3 win against Cougars, Damon Gleeson claimed a hat-trick and the other three tries were shared between Michael Cain, Nathan Nott and James Thomas. Cougars’ three tries were scored by Chris Clark, Braedon Mason-Kelly and Robert Condran.

Platform X studio also finished round six with five wins. It’s victory against Damien Chiplin Plumbing was its fifth on the trot following a round one loss against Gee Bangers. In round six, James Baker scored a hat-trick for Platform X Studio in its 6-4 win, and teammates Gus Macrae, Jacob Nichols and Declan Rooney all crossed once each. Damien Chiplin Plumbing’s four tries were shared between Toby Bentley, Jakeb Nipperess, Jock Small and Toby Keys.

Win Or Booze won its third game of the season in round six when it downed Ballbusters 8-3. Lachlan Trindall and Harry Pattison bagged doubles for Win Or Booze, and Cooper Brayshaw, Connor Hill, Jess O’Neil and Jonty Schwager all crossed once each. Ballbusters’ Murray Scott scored two of his team’s tries. The other three were claimed by Campbell Hancock, Dean Hancock and Toby Knight.

DTA Lumberjacks also scored its third win of the 2020-21 campaign in round six when it beat Stylies 7-4. Clayton Pursche bagged a double for the Lumberjacks and teammates James Albert, Matt McDonnell, Drew Tapscott and Lachlann Thorn scored one each. Stylies’ four tries were scored by Paul Bushby, Luke Flood, Danny Laws and Wade Taylor.

In one of the first ladies’ matches played on Monday, the top-ranked team Agies Ladies downed BPR-Tourist Hotel 15-2. Cathy Conomos crossed four times for the winning team, Alisha Conomos and Martha Harvey both claimed hat-tricks, Krista Zarka bagged a double and Bella Cruickshank scored the other. BPR-Tourist Hotel’s two tries were scored by Heidi Campbell and Lisa Macrae.

In Specialised Civil’s 11-0 win against The Rippers, seven players crossed for tries. Katrina Duncan, Angie Knox, Abby McClure and Jessie Schwager combined for eight of those with two each, while Alex Hall, Sophie McFarland and Natalia Smith went over once each.

In Xtra’s 11-0 win against The Emasculators, five of its players found the line. Emma Cain and Rosie Maunder both scored hat-tricks, Jess Craig and Ellen John bagged doubles and Phoebe O’Neill claimed the other try.

Redbacks put back-to-back losses in rounds four and five behind it to score its fourth win of the 2020-21 campaign on Monday. Hayley Lang, Tianne Parker and Zoe Campbell scored two tries each in their team’s 8-2 win against Hounddogs, while teammates Asher Kelly and Jessie Melbourne claimed one each. Hounddogs’ two tries were shared between Sarah Gleeson and Emily McFetridge.

RSL Roulettes scored its first on-field win of the season in round six to go with a round five forfeit victory as it continues to bounce back from four losses from rounds one to four. RSL Roulettes’ Alex Reed bagged a double in her team’s 4-2 win against OneDay Gals, and teammates Emily Ward and Emma Young scored the other two. OneDay Gals’ two tries were shared between April Squire and Sasha Wood.

In one of the last ladies’ matches played in round six, Phoenix Two390 downed Blue Birds 3-1. The win was Phoenix Two390’s third in six games as it handed Blue Birds just its second loss of the season. Holly Ford bagged a double for Phoenix Two390 and Maddie Russell scored the other. Blue Birds’ try was scored by Taylah Fogarty.
