Our local Member of State Parliament is quick to claim credit for delivery of projects he has nothing to do with.

In his latest piece, he says pressure from the Shooters party has forced the government to deliver better rural healthcare.

In fact, it is the Nationals who have been working hard within the government for many years to get to this point.

The first term of government was spent repairing the damage of 16 years of Labor neglect, and the second term of government was about balancing the books – a good thing too, given the financial pressure COVID has caused.

This term of government is all about delivering the service rural people deserve, and better healthcare is part of that, as are better schools and better roads.

And all of this has been made possible because you have had Nationals in cabinet, at the decision-making table, successfully making the case for regional and rural investment.

Our local Member’s party has shown time and again it is interested in acting as a de-facto Country Labor, and people need to know that supporting the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party could well lead to another 16 years of Labor neglect if we are not careful.
