Boggabri families will soon have access to an early learning centre with a new facility in the town set to open its doors this year.

Narrabri-based Nurruby Childcare Services will operate the centre, located on the corner of Brent and Oakham streets, which is due to open within the next few months.

Boggabri residents have long sought the child care centre.

Works were mostly completed before Christmas last year, with the community advisory group getting a first glimpse of the centre.

Speaking with The Courier during the onsite tour, Nurruby Childcare Services’ managing director Prue Jamieson described the new facility as amazing.

“It’s got everything we could ever want in terms of safety,” she said.

“We have had a heap of community interest in the centre.”

The purpose-built centre has come about after a great working relationship between Nurruby, the community advisory group and Boggabri Coal (Idemitsu Australia Resources).

Idemitsu Australia Resources has funded construction of the new centre, a move which has been applauded by the community.
