Narrabri Shire Council has launched an exciting new art festival called Create.

The festival will showcase art, music, film, theatre and workshops and will take place at The Crossing Theatre between March 13 and March 28.

The council’s cultural facilities manager and The Crossing Thetare venue manager Scott Pollock said he’s thrilled to deliver an art and cultural festival to the region.

“For almost ten months, a group of local artists have been working together to create an event that not only showcases the wonderful world of art but also offers fun ways for our community to enjoy it,” Mr Pollock said.

“The aim of ‘Create’ is to inspire and the best way to inspire and engage with the community is through delivering activities that are fun and engaging.”

“To date we have 15 artists on board who are mainly local, but we have no boundaries and would like to see the event be inclusive and draw people to our shire to participate.

“A list of events and exhibitions can be found on The Crossing Theatre website as well as a dedicated Facebook page called ‘Create’ that has recently gone live to keep the community informed of planned events.”

All events and exhibitions will be conducted according to relevant COVID safety guidelines in place at the time.
