The scope of the scammers is wide and ongoing, and residents of this district are just as much a target of crooks as everyone else. A Narrabri resident phoned and said she received a scam call from someone purporting to be from the Taxation Department saying her ‘account was unpaid’. It is a scam. Never give out personal or financial information over the phones, warns the ACCC.
