Australia Post has really excelled itself – one card we received took a month to reach us, but yesterday we received one that was posted on December 1.

What has happened to the terrific service we used to have?

We used to be able to post a letter one day and the recipient would get it the next day.

It sure causes problems with paying accounts – we’re forever receiving accounts rendered when the bills have been paid in plenty of time.

I don’t intend paying accounts online, not because I’m old but I don’t trust the security of the internet with all the hackers there are in the world today.

Also using the mail system helps keep our local post office in business.
