There are now two rounds left to play in the Narrabri Touch Inc’s 2020-21 summer season ahead of the finals series starting on March 15.

Teams across the men’s and women’s grades will be looking to build momentum heading into the finals series.

On the men’s side, teams are now three matches into their graded seasons after Monday’s latest round of games.

Grumley Builders strengthened its position on the A-grade competition ladder with an 8-4 victory over GeeBangers. In the other A grade fixture, Win or Booze defeated Damien Chiplin Plumbing 6-3.

Ballbusters and Mowley’s Maniacs played out a thrilling 7-7 draw in B grade action. In the other B-grade game, Cougars beat DTA Lumberjacks 4-2.

Grumley Builders were too good for its A-grade opposition in GeeBangers. Jydon Hill, Thomas Nolan and Luke Tuckey all crossed for doubles for the Builders while Nick Anderson and Ethan Brown scored a try each. James Thomas scored a hat-trick in a losing side for the GeeBangers while Jake Rumsby got over the line for the other try.

Win or Booze achieved a crucial win it its fixture against Damien Chiplin Plumbing. Cooper Brayshaw and Lachlan Trindall both scored doubles while Brock and Jonty Schwager scored a try each. Joshua Ambrose, Toby Bentley and Travis Small scored for Damien Chiplin Plumbing.

In the men’s B-grade competition, Cougars continued its winning ways in a tight affair against DTA Lumberjacks. Christopher Clark and Condran Robert scored twice for the winning side while Clayton Pursche scored both of Lumberjacks’ tries.

The full time siren couldn’t split Ballbusters and Mowley’s Maniacs in the other B-grade game. Toby Knight scored a hat-trick for the Ballbusters while Jimmy Ward notched a double. Campbell Hancock and Geoff Artis were the other two try-scorers for Ballbusters. Brock Mallows also crossed for a hat-trick for the Maniacs. Matthew Walters, Scott Connole, Seth Gabbott and Bernard Gabbott all scored a try each.

In the women’s A-grade competition, Specialised Civil narrowly defeated Xtra 2-1 while Agies Ladies defeated Redbacks 11-2.

In B-grade, Blue Birds beat BPR Tourist Hotel 10-1 and Phoenix2390 downed Hounddogs 10-0, while in C-grade action OneDay Gals defeated The Rippers 5-2 and RSL Roulettes took down The Emasculators 5-2.

It was a tight affair in the A-grade fixture between Specialised Civil and Xtra. Specialised Civil’s Alex Hall and Abby McClure scored the decisive tries while Holly Pender was the sole try-scorer for Xtra.

Agies Ladies continued its winning streak with a victory over Redbacks. Matilda Currey crossed five times for the winning team while teammate Alisha Conomos scored four tries. Bella Cruickshank bagged the other two tries. Redbacks’ Zoe Campbell and Tianne Parker were the team’s two try-scorers.

In B grade, Blue Birds eased to victory against BPR Tourist Hotel. Georgia Hardman bagged a hat-trick for Blue Birds while Clariese Ryman and Mikaela Woodward both scored doubles. Lidia McCauley, Bec McMillan and Georgie Milsom all scored a try each. Mary Felder was the sole scorer for BPR Tourist Hotel.

It was another convincing victory in B grade for Phoenix2390 as they defeated Hounddogs. Elsie Ford scored four tries for Phoenix2390 while Cassidy Staines crossed for a hat-trick. Holly Ford bagged a double and Miranda Hamilton was the other try-scorer.

In the C grade fixtures, OneDay Gals achieved victory over The Rippers. Julia Stuart scored twice for the winning team while Teigan Cummins, Jessie Ross and Chelsea Wheeler all scored a try each.

In the other C grade fixture, RSL Roulettes replicated OneDay Gals with a 5-2 scoreline over The Emasculators. Brooklyn Cooper and Donna McKinstry both scored doubles for RSL Roulettes while Kristie Toomey crossed for the other try. Onika McConnell scored the two tries for The Emasculators.

With two rounds left to play there is still plenty to play for heading into the finals.

In both the men’s and women’s competitions, teams ranked first and second will play in the major semi-finasl with the winners to advance to the grand finals.

Third and fourth will meet in the minor semi-finals where the losers will be eliminated.
