The local market is still trading below the recent high and downtrend line as well as making lower highs. Interestingly the swing low is still holding.
The US based Nasdaq index has made a retracement down to the 50 per cent of the range up level and coincidentally has moved down the same number of days as the correction in September last year. The passing of a $US1.9 trillion stimulus package could add even more speculative money to the market.
South 32 looks tohave moved out of the sideways pattern.
Select Harvests has made a nice looking consolidation pattern and a break higher could set up some trade possibilities.
Whitehaven Coal is making slow progress upwards.
Afterpay looks to be rebounding from the 38 per cent retracement level and possibly forming an island reversal pattern. The test will come when price reaches the resistance line.
Appen is one of a few companies that has moved back down to the panic lows in March.
Ardent Leisure is holding the lows and has moved up and out of the sideways congestion.
Monash IVF Group is making an interesting consolidation pattern.
