After the Sydney Royal Easter Show ring events were postponed last year, Wee Waa Pony Club members Ella Hunt, Josie Galagher, Felicty Orman and Olivia Wilson and their trusty steeds were finally able to compete this year.

The four members have been working hard during the past 18 months still not knowing if the show would definitely go ahead this year, doing their best and making the most of regional events, training days and practices that were held to keep up their competitive edge.

On Monday, April 12, the hard work paid off and they successfully all came away with placings.

Wee Waa Pony Club members were excited to learn that the team of fours rode extremely well to come away with third place over all.

This is the first full team of fours for Wee Waa Pony Club in decades.

Their talents didn’t go unnoticed in other events either.

Felicity placed third in the girl rider 15-and-under-18 years and Josie narrowly missed out on placing among a large group of riders.

Felicity and Josie teamed up again and were awarded second in the pairs of riders 15-and-under-18 years.

The placings continued to be awarded to the youngest riders of the crew with Ella placing second and Olivia placing sixth in the girl rider in 13-and-under-15 years section.

Olivia and Ella also teamed up again and came sixth in the pairs.

It was an awesome achievement for the local riders which was helped by Kylie Rowland, Alana Galagher and Jocelyn Palmer with their valued coaching along with the dedicated team of parents and committee members all working behind the scenes.

All four girls did the Wee Waa Pony Club and its members proud at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.
