Police have charged two teenage boys with multiple offences after an investigation into separate incidents in the New England region.

On Saturday, May 15, officers attached to Oxley Police District commenced an investigation into several alleged aggravated break and enter offences, as well as the alleged theft of a number of motor vehicles within the township of Wee Waa.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Oxley Police District executed a search warrant on a unit on Mitchell Street, Wee Waa, about 3.15pm yesterday and arrested two 15-year-old boys.

Police seized several items from the unit, including a gel blaster replica pistol and mobile phones.

The youths were taken to Wee Waa Police Station.

One of the 15-year-old boys was charged with aggravated break and enter (x 3), be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner, larceny, steal motor vehicle and destroy property by fire.

The other 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter (x 3), steal motor vehicle, destroy property by fire, possess unauthorised firearm, unlicensed driving and larceny.

They were refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.
