Thumbs down to the Coalition state government for the time it has taken it to announce a new high school for Wee Waa. The matter has been and is a major health and education issue but it is now roughly twelve months since the first closures occurred. Members of the community knew well before the first closures that there were problems with a substantial number of students and teachers becoming unwell. It should not have taken so long to make an assessment. Wee Waa people justifiably feel angry at such a delay and at being treated as second class residents. They still now have one and a half years, at least, before the new school is completed. That is disgraceful.
