Narrabri Shire Council is seeking the views of business and industry in a newly-launched survey.

The Narrabri Shire business survey aims to capture opportunities and obstacles for industry across the region.

Mayor Ron Campbell said feedback is welcomed to address any concerns, as well as offer support for ongoing development of the council area.

“Industry is progressing in a range of areas including manufacturing, energy and transport, along with tourism and agriculture,” Cr Campbell said.

“As a council, we want to provide businesses with greater support, services and information by using a proactive approach to identify areas of need in the business community.”

Cr Campbell said council is committed to gauging the position of local industry, to determine how initiatives can be geared towards their requirements in the future.

“Participating in the survey helps council to understand the benefits and potential barriers of doing business in the Narrabri Shire.

“Information gathered will be used to guide state and federal government and to assist with funding opportunities and the pursuit of key projects in the region.”

Survey participants will be given the opportunity to enter into a draw to win one of two $200 Narrabri Shire Why Leave Town gift cards after completing the survey.

“We understand that time is critical when running a business, so we want to reach out to participating businesses to say thank you for your contribution,” Cr Campbell said.
