Council elections have almost come around again, albeit a year later than the usual four year cycle. September 4 is the date when the new council will be decided. In the meantime, candidates past and present will be pondering their plans to offer themselves for service as an elected representative. Much has been achieved and much lies ahead for the shire. What are some of the issues that ratepayers will be keen to see addressed by the next council? The Courier has been fielding suggestions in recent weeks and on Thursday will invite readers to add their suggestions to a ‘ratepayers’ wish list.’
