Seven young Wee Waa women have thrown their hats in the ring for the 2021 Wee Waa Showgirl senior and junior titles.

Senior entrants include Faith Pagett, Olivia Bray and Georgia Dickinson.

Acacia Bell, Amelia Kiem, Caitlyn Coutts-Smith and Tanika Slee are all hoping to be sashed the Cotton Capital’s junior Showgirl for 2021.

The Showgirl entrants’ luncheon was held at the Wee Waa Bowling Club on Saturday, July 10, and all attendees were impressed by the calibre of local talent.

The crowd also happily adhered to COVID-19 restrictions.

Current Wee Waa Showgirl Georgie Haire conducted an entertaining question and answer session with each entrant, enabling the judges to gain a better understanding of the young women and their aspirations ahead of the title announcements at the show, due to be held on the last weekend in August.

“I am very proud of each of our Showgirl entrants this year,” said Georgie.

“Each girl presented themselves beautifully and spoke so confidently in front of seventy people at our luncheon event.

“The luncheon was an opportunity for our community to get to know each Showgirl entrant a little better, as well as a great excuse to enjoy a wonderful three-course meal.
