Thirty-five cases of COVID-19 were detected in the Western NSW Local Health District as of 8pm on Sunday.

Of the cases, 32 were recorded in Dubbo bringing the city’s total to 91.

Walgett still had four cases while three were recorded in Mudgee.

A positive case had also been detected in Bourke, however, not in time for Monday morning’s pandemic update.

That case was to be recorded in Monday’s COVID numbers.

In addition to the latest detection of cases in western NSW, more exposure sites had been listed for Dubbo.

In the Hunter New England Local Health District, 16 cases were recorded as at 8pm on Sunday.

These were in Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens.

Across the state, NSW Health reported 478 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday night.

There have been 8218 locally acquired cases reported since June 16, when the first case of this outbreak was reported.
