A disqualified driver was caught driving in Narrabri and Moree in the space of two days.

At 4.20pm on August 5, a vehicle was sighted on the Newell Highway, near Francis Street, Narrabri.

Police pulled over the grey Holden Cruze and conducted checks on the driver.

Checks revealed the driver was disqualified.

The woman was issued with a court attendance notice to appear in Narrabri Local Court on August 24.

At 6.10pm on August 6, the woman was stopped on Frome Street, Moree.

She will appear in Moree Local Court on September 20 in relation to this offence.

Break-in and vehicle theft in Wee Waa

A vehicle was stolen from a Mitchell Street home in Wee Waa between 5pm and 4am on August 10 and 11.

The occupant woke to find a vehicle missing from the property.

Police investigations revealed offenders had gained entry through the home’s back door.

A 2014 silver Volvo XC60 was stolen from the property.

The vehicle was found on August 12 and was sighted burnt out on Trucking Yards Lane, Wee Waa. It was completely destroyed by the blaze.

Car fuel caps jimmied open

Two vehicles had their fuel caps jimmied open in the early hours of August 6 near a River Street aged care facility in Wee Waa.

One vehicle was a Mitsubishi Outlander while the other was a Kia Sorrento.

A 40-year-old Wee Waa man was identified by CCTV.

Later on August 6, police sighted the man filling up a jerry can at a Wee Waa service station.

He was arrested and taken to Wee Waa Police Station.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts of destroy or damage property.

He will appear in Wee Waa Local Court on August 26.

Ute stolen from Wee Waa

Between 9pm and 2.45am on August 4 and 5, a Cowper Street home at Wee Waa was broken into.

Offenders entered the house through a ground floor door and stole cigarettes, car keys and a wallet.

An Isuzu D-Max ute was stolen from the property.

On August 5, police received reports that the ute was doing burnouts in Adelaide Street, Moree.

The vehicle was later located by police in Boland Drive, Moree, completely engulfed in flames.

Vehicle stolen from Taylor Street

A Holden Colorado was stolen from a Taylor Street address on August 7.

The vehicle was later located at the corner of Reid and Bowen Streets on August 8.

It has been subject to forensic analysis.
