“Have I caught the last mouse of the plague?” asks a reader. “I have had a trap set for many weeks and nothing touched it but yesterday morning a dead mouse was there.” It may be the tail end of the plague, or it may be the first mouse of a new plague season. There are worries warmer weather and plenty of ground cover are setting the scene for a mass resurgence of what an animal advocacy group recently called ‘interesting little creatures.’
