Narrabri police are seeking information from the public in relation to vandalism at the Narrabri Lawn Cemetery.

Vandals are suspected to have targeted the Kamilaroi Highway cemetery between 5pm and 7pm on Saturday, August 14 and between 5pm and 7am on Sunday and Monday, August 15 and 16.

Police were notified by a member of the public that a number of broken vases had been located around numerous graves.

Section two at the cemetery was particularly affected.

Police ask anyone who might have information relating to vandalism at the cemetery to phone 6792 7199 or report online through Crimestoppers.

Break-and-enter at Edgeroi

A break-and-enter was reported at an Edgeroi waste facility between 9am on August 1 and 3pm on August 12. Unknown persons gained entry to the facility.

Public health order breach

A 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were issued with public health order infringement notices after travelling to Narrabri from a council area in lockdown.

Police stopped a vehicle in Maitland Street on August 12 for a breath test.

Subsequent investigations by police revealed the two occupants in the vehicle had travelled to Narrabri from Manilla, part of the Tamworth local government area which had been subject to stay-at-home orders at the time.

A search of the vehicle located an amount of cannabis.

The driver was arrested and taken to Narrabri Police Station. He returned a positive drug test which is subject to further analysis.

Police issued the pair was PINs for breaching the public health order and the man was also charged with possessing a prohibited drug. Police are awaiting results for further analysis in relation to the drug testing.

Break-in at Cooma Road petrol station

A break-in occurred at a Cooma Road petrol station between 9.40pm and 11.30pm on Friday, August 13.

Unknown persons gained entry to the premises by unknown means and method.

Cash was stolen from the business in addition to a key to a safe.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.

Vehicle stolen from Villarette Avenue

A Volkswagen Amarok was stolen from a Villarette Avenue property between 5.30pm and 7.30am on August 13 and 14.

The vehicle was located on Culgoora Road and had been destroyed by fire.

CCTV footage was obtained by police and is assisting them with their investigation into the incident.

Stolen vehicle in Wee Waa

A vehicle was stolen from a George Street property in Wee Waa between 6pm on August 14 and 1.20am on August 15.

Unknown persons gained entry to the property and stole keys and cash.

The keys were used to steal a vehicle which was later located at Alma Street fully engulfed by fire.

Police said it appeared persons had gained entry to the home through a front window.

Volvo stolen from Edgeroi

A Volvo vehicle was stolen from an Edgeroi address between August 13 and August 16. The vehicle was discovered in Moree in the evening of August 18 and was destroyed by fire.

Fire lit near grandstand

Teenagers were witnessed lighting a fire near a grandstand in the early hours of August 14, between 5.30am and 5.45am.

A witness observed the incident and obtained the names of the offenders. Police inquiries are continuing.

George Street home break-in

A home in George Street, Wee Waa, was subject to a break-in between 9pm on August 19 and 8.30am on August 20.

The victim discovered the property had been broken into while they were asleep. Unknown persons gained entry through a window.

Steal from vehicle at Cowper Street

A steal from motor vehicle was reported at a Cowper Street property between 2am and 5am on August 20.

A wallet containing cash and cards was stolen from the vehicle.

The incident is subject to further police investigation.

Second Cowper Street incident

Another steal from motor vehicle was reported from a Cowper Street address between 10.30pm on August 19 and 8am on August 20.

Steal from vehicle at Thurlagoona Avenue

A steal from vehicle was reported in Narrabri at Thurlagoona Avenue between 5pm on August 19 and 10am on August 20.

A wallet was stolen from the vehicle.

Attempted break-and-enter at Balonne Street

An attempted break-and-enter occurred at a Balonne Street property between 1.30pm on August 19 and 4am on August 20.

Unknown persons attempted to gain entry to the home through a front window but were unsuccessful.

Dirt bike stolen from Empire Place

A dirt bike was reported as stolen from an Empire Place property in Wee Waa between 3pm and 7am on August 22 and 23.

Dubbo woman receives public health order PIN

A 20-year-old Dubbo woman received a public health order infringement after being discovered at a Wee Waa property.

Police received information that a woman had been in the town on August 22.

Police made a number of enquiries and spoke with the woman who provided them with a reason for being in the town.

Further investigations revealed the woman’s information to police to be incorrect.

She had to return to Dubbo and received a PIN.

Attempted break-in at George Street

Three people are believed to have gained entry to a yard at a George Street property in the early hours of August 22.

Residents at the property awoke to see three figures in their yard. The residents immediately called 000.

The victims inside heard banging and movement on their back verandah.

The offenders decanted once they realised the occupants were home.

Police said it appeared people gained entry to the property by cutting a barb wire fence.
