Stan Swan has won Group 4 Rugby League’s prestigious best and fairest award for the 2021 season.
The talented Moree Boars hooker edged out Werris Creek co-coach Cody Tickle for the award, finishing with 15 points to Tickle’s 14.
Group 4 Rugby League might have had its 2021 season curtailed amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but the competition’s board decided that enough games had been played to name best and fairest award winners in all grades.
Group 4 Rugby League chairman Terry Psarakis said the award winners were “all deserving recipients who had polled consistently throughout the shortened season”.
He congratulated the four winners – Moree’s Stan Swan (first grade), North Tamworth’s Damien Cutmore (reserve grade), North Tamworth’s Kim Resch (ladies’ league tag) and Gunnedah’s Bailey Swain and Dungowan’s Mitch Henderson (under-18s).
The best and fairest tallies from each grade are as follows:
