Pink Up Namoi organiser Karen Kirkby has been absolutely overwhelmed by the community support the campaign has received, the latest which has come from Narrabri’s livestock agency association.

The Narrabri Agents Association donated $1000 to Pink Up Namoi and turned its latest sale, held yesterday, pink.

The association hosted Dr Kirkby at the sale who delivered a powerful speech about breast cancer, which focused on men’s breast cancer.

Following a minutes silence to remember the late Bevan O’Regan, a Pink Up Namoi shirt and cap were then auctioned off to raise more funds.

Dr Kirkby told The Courier she was amazed with the support from everyone at the saleyards.

“It’s amazing to see everyone here today wearing pink and really getting behind Pink Up Namoi,” Dr Kirkby said.

“I really appreciate the opportunity to talk to them about men’s breast cancer.

“The agent’s association has donated $1000 to the men’s breast cancer calendar, that’s why we are here and why everyone’s wearing pink.

“A massive thank you to Matt Collett who really drove this opportunity for us to pink up the saleyards.”
