Trish Lawty’s decades of dedication honoured with life membership

Decades of involvement with the Narrabri Show were honoured at the weekend when Trish Lawty was awarded life membership.

Mrs Lawty was presented with the honour during Friday night’s official opening in the rodeo ring alongside her mother, Dawn Armstrong, who was made a life member last year.

A founding member of the Narrabri Show Auxiliary, formerly the Narrabri Show Ladies’ Auxiliary, Mrs Lawty has been a valuable member across several decades.

She formed the auxiliary with her mother, Dawn, and her mother-in-law, the late Gwen Lawty.

Mrs Lawty has been the treasurer ever since the auxiliary started.

She has also been involved with the poultry section with her husband Kevin for more than 20 years.

Mr and Mrs Lawty have represented Narrabri and the community showing chooks at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
