An initiative by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Narrabri Support Group and the iconic Baan Baa Hotel drew in a large crowd on Sunday, May 1.

The Baan Baa family fun day was held to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the Narrabri committee was pleased to announce a profit of more than $2300.

Narrabri local Leon Cunningham provided live entertainment and Wadette Shaw of Hassab’s Fashions and Giftware delighted the crowd with a fashion parade which was the highlight of the day.

The event was blessed with a beautiful sunny day and children enjoyed face painting by Gwen Bruce and a jumping castle kindly donated by Bill Harris and Tracy Paige.

Delicious steak and sausage sandwiches were provided by the Narrabri Support Group barbecue.

The success of the day was attributed to the community offering generous donations.

Local support of the event was greatly appreciated by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Narrabri committee.
