Learning, leadership, and future goals were just some of the topics on the agenda at Narrabri High School this week when the NSW Department of Education’s executive director, school performance for the rural north area Meghanne Wellard came to town.

“I was so proud to be able to take the executive director to the school and introduce her to the phenomenal students,” said Namoi Principals’ Network’s director educational leadership Kristine Pizarro.

Mrs Wellard met with NHS principal Simon Warden, staff, and students and shared a morning tea with the school’s leadership team.

“There was a focus on the students’ future plans, and they were very mature when providing feedback, including about the impact of COVID on learning – that’s valuable feedback for the executive director to have.

“We also visited the music class; they’re getting ready for MADD night.

“The children were all fantastic, and I felt very proud,” said Ms Pizarro.
