New facilities for Namoi Valley Christian School

Staff and students at Namoi Valley Christian School in Wee Waa will benefit from work to build new classrooms, including a food technology room and science laboratory, funded as part of the Coalition government’s Capital Grants Program.

Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton said the Australian government will provide $400,000 towards the project at Namoi Valley Christian School.

Mr Coulton’s office released a media statement about the announcement before the election.

“Students and staff at Namoi Valley Christian School will benefit from the construction of a general learning area, food technology room, science laboratory, server room and amenities,” Mr Coulton said.

“These new learning spaces will form the first stage of the school’s building master plan, in the development of a Year 7 to 10 campus.

“Namoi Valley Christian School has a wonderful school community, and these new facilities will further enhance the learning environment.

“Students and teachers thrive when their schools have modern and up-to-date facilities. That’s why the Coalition government is proud of the Capital Grants Program, which has helped thousands of schools across the nation to build new and updated infrastructure,” said Mr Coulton prior to the election result.

“I congratulate Namoi Valley Christian School on their successful grant application and look forward to seeing the positive impact these new facilities will have on the school community.”
