Four police officers from the local command were among the awardees honoured at a medal ceremony in Tamworth last week.

Chief Inspector Robert Dunn, Acting Sergeant Tim Horn, Senior Constable Cameron Bounds and Senior Constable Amanda Flintoft were among officers from the Oxley Police District to be recognised for their significant contribution.

Chief Inspector Dunn was presented with his 30-year clasp for diligent and ethical service, as well as a National Emergency Medal.

The medal was presented in recognition of his contribution to local bushfires.

Acting Sergean Horn received the NSW Police Medal for 10 years’ service. He also received a National Emergency Medal for his contribution to bushfires on the coast.

Senior Constable Bounds and Senior Constable Flintoft were both awarded the NSW Police Medal for 10 years’ service.
