Another musical icon, 73-year-old Olivia Newton-John lost her battle with cancer on Monday at her home in Southern California. Olivia was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and twice before in 1992 and 2013, and has spent years lobbying the Australian government to approve the use of medicinal cannabis for cancer patients. Her Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund researches plant-based medicine and holistic treatments for cancer and requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her charity. Olivia was well-known for her portrayal of Sandy in the 1978 musical Grease.
