Narrabri Touch hosted round two of its 2022 campaign ladies’ and men’s competitions at Hogan and Leitch Ovals on Monday.

After three matches were called off in the first round of the season a week earlier due to forfeits, all eight went ahead in round two as 16 of the 17 teams across the two competitions took the field.

The other, Ballbusters from the men’s competition, sat out with a bye but will be back in action in round three.

Two teams continued their unbeaten starts to the campaign in the men’s comp on Monday. They were the Grumley Builders, which outscored Gee Bangers 5-3, and Win Or Booze, which downed Wilga Pelicans 7-4.

The other matches were won by the DTA Treated Lumberjacks and Lations. Lumberjacks scored a 7-1 victory against NFC, while Lations beat Cougars 9-1.

Two teams also continued their unbeaten starts to the campaign in the ladies’ competition. They were Agies, which downed SPA Redbacks 9-0, and the Wilga Westies, which won 3-2 against Touch’n’go.

The other two matches saw CBRE defeat Blue Birds 5-0 and Specialised Concrete outscore Hounddogs 8-0.

The round three draw and referee appointments for Monday, August 15, are as follows:

6pm: Desk duty – Joan O’Neill; field one – Touch’n’Go v Blue Birds (referees – Jess McFetridge and Louise Tout); field two – Specialised Quarries & Concrete v SPA Redbacks (referees – Alisha Conomos and Matt Roberts); field three – Grumley Builders v Cougars (referees – Brendon Warnock and Clifford Toomey Snr); field four – NFC v Ballbusters (referees – Terrence Duncan and Keegan Richardson).

6.35pm: Desk duty – Joan O’Neill; field one – Hounddogs v Wilga Westies (referees – Zara Foley, Amanda Smith and Wayne Nott as a mentor); field two – Agies Ladies v CBRE (referees – Abby McClure, Emma John and Tom Nolan); field three – Wilga Pelicans v Lations (referees – Matt Roberts and Hamish Duncan); field four – DTA Treated Timber Lumberjacks v Win or Booze (referees – Ben Redfern and Connor Parkes).
