Flooding occurring along the Namoi River has caused road closures on state highways.

Gunnedah experienced major flooding, resulting in the closure of the Oxley Highway between Gunnedah and Carroll as well as between Gunnedah and Boggabri on the Kamilaroi Highway.

Major flooding at Wee Waa has resulted in the Kamilaroi Highway’s closure between the township and Spring Plains Road.

The Kamilaroi Highway was closed near Wee Waa on Saturday night, and between Boggabri and Gunnedah on Sunday.

Road closures and reopening due to flooding are controlled by the local councils.
