Three Narrabri youths will face legal process for their involvement in a police pursuit in a stolen vehicle throughout town streets on Monday.
One of the youths, an 11-year-old boy who police allege was the driver of the stolen vehicle, was later arrested and charged at Narrabri Police
Station. He was released on conditional bail.
The two other youths, aged 13 and 16, are expected to be subject to legal process.
Police allege a white Hyundai Elantra was stolen from a Violet Street address at 10.49am on Monday morning.
The vehicle was driven around town, at speed, with police engaging in a pursuit.
The pursuit was later terminated at Saleyards Lane due to safety concerns.
A short time later, the youths made their way back to the village in the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was heading in a northerly direction on Violet Street and heavily collided with a parked utility on the side of the road.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after, and the three youths were detained.
Two of the youths suffered injuries from the collision and were taken to Narrabri Hospital.
The driver was charged with police pursuit not stop drive dangerously, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, negligent driving and never held licence.
Police allege the vehicle collided with the parked utility at such force, causing the chassis to break while the tray of the utility went through the passenger side of the windscreen of the stolen vehicle.
